- Q: What is the price for Torugart crossing?
- A: There is no direct fee for crossing the border i.e. you do not pay to border authorities for crossing it. However, there are costs to cross Torugart. It is policy of both countries (China and Kyrgyzstan) that as a foriegner you need a local person guiding you to the border and from the border to the first settlement (Naryn in Kyrgyzstan, Kashgar in China).
This means that even if you have your own means of transportation you still need to hire a car and a guide.
For Kyrgyz side costs of only transportation for a group of 1 to 4 people will be 160$ per vihecle. The same is the price for Chinese side for a group of 1 to 4 people.Please note that if you are group of 4, then 3 of you will seat on backseat of a vehicle.
